A new update for Nekojishi is here, now with full Japanese language support! Be sure to keep an eye on us for further releases planned today!

Nekojishi v1.03 Update

Nekojishi v1.03 has been released! We've been hard at work over the last few months and are ready to bring you a completely revised English localisation along with fixes and polish all around! (Also the OST DLC has been updated with expanded metadata and high-res cover art!)

English:
  • Completely revised English localisation.
  • Rewritten text for better prose quality, consistent characterisation, readability, and accuracy to the source material.
  • Rewritten decision dialogues to better represent the choices being made. (Be sure to update those guides!)
  • Reworked all ending “blog” sequences to vastly improve readability and writing quality.
  • The names of some endings have been updated. (Be sure to also update guides with these!)
  • Certain secondary characters have had their name tags changed on their dialogue boxes.
  • Fixed lines which missed some text changes made to the Chinese scripts before v1.00 and v1.02.
  • Resolved issues where the newline cursor would appear too close to a text block.
  • Resolved issues where the newline cursor would appear alone on a new line.
  • Resolved issues where punctuation was displayed incorrectly.
  • The control text on the bottom of the main menu has been re-worded for clarity.
  • The “Replay” tool-tip on the main menu now reads “Gallery”.
  • In the pause menu “Records” has been changed to “Save/Load”.
  • The “About” screen has been updated to fix typos.
  • Various other typos have been corrected.

General:
  • Resolved issues where the side portraits would not appear for some lines.
  • Improved the music looping for certain ending “blog” sequences.
  • Added the ability to delete and archive your old save files from previous versions to prevent errors when loading saves in Nekojishi v.1.03. (Note: This process does not change overall ending or glossary completion).

Nekojishi OST:
  • Updated metadata including high res cover art.
  • Included even higher res (3000x3000 pixel) cover art in the OST folder.

About the Game

A romance torn between school life and mysterious spirits!

Born into a religious family, Lin Tian-Liao left his hometown and moved to Taipei to study and follow his dreams, trying to escape the pressures of returning to his family’s temple in the process. His ordinary college life seemed to be going well until suddenly one day his third eye was opened. Liao, now able to see the various spirits and gods in the world, has to deal with his new found powers, his school life, and three particular cats who all want to have a say in his life and his future.

Nekojishi is a visual novel about the pressures and consequences of deciding your future in a world of gods and spirits, the position that religion and folklore take in modern society, and three feline beast-men that Liao can’t seem to get out of his room or out of his head!

Note: Nekojishi features same-sex romances and cute cat dudes.
